The popular vertical mountain race is part of the Catalan FEEC Vertical Races Cup.
The Vall de Boí is preparing for a vibrant weekend, from 16 to 18 May, with the Caraamon & Trail Comaminaya. Barruera will be the setting for a program that fuses sport, cinema and outreach, offering a unique experience in an incomparable natural environment.
This event is a proposal for all audiences, with high-level trail running races that will test the endurance of the participants, as well as activities for children and options to enjoy an active and healthy lifestyle. The Boí Taüll Cronoescalada will not be missing, a spectacular climb to the ski resort, for cycling lovers.
The Joan Perelada multipurpose space will be the nerve center of the event, with the race office, an exhibition area with local companies and associations, and a space dedicated to mountain cinema. VidaFilms will screen inspiring films that show the beauty and challenges of the mountain, with works by figures such as Silvia Vidal and Kilian Jornet.
The program includes the Caraamon, the vertical kilometer of the Vall de Boí that is part of the Catalan Cup of Vertical Races, and the Trail Comaminyana, a half-marathon of trail running with three distances (21K, 13K and 7K). The youngest will be able to participate in 5K, 3K and 1K races, and learn in the Pumptrack workshop.
In addition to sports and cinema, attendees will be able to enjoy local gastronomy and share experiences in a welcoming atmosphere. The Vall de Boí reaffirms itself as a space of coexistence, sports and culture, offering a weekend to discover, be inspired and enjoy the mountains.
