The Vall de Boí is preparing to host, from 27 to 29 June 2025, one of the unmissable events for trail running and mountain racing enthusiasts: the Garmin Mountain Festival Vall de Boí. This event, which perfectly combines high-level sport with the cultural and natural richness of the valley, promises to be one of the great attractions of the summer season.

The festival, renowned for its epic races, will delve into the impressive landscape of the Vall de Boí, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Among the events that will be organized, two of the three main ones will pass through the Boí Taüll mountain resort, managed by Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya, consolidating its role as a privileged setting for practicing outdoor sports. The two races that pass through the station are:

• Garmin Epic Trail Vall de Boí 42K. Participants will face a mountain marathon with a technical and spectacular route that adds up to 2,800 meters of positive elevation gain, in which they cross the peripheral area of ​​the Aigüestortes and Estany de Sant Maurici National Park.
  
  
• Garmin Epic Trail Vall de Boí 24K. It is a middle-distance race that will offer a considerable challenge with its 1,900 meters of accumulated elevation gain concentrated in the first half of the route.

Both events, with a start and finish in Barruera, represent a unique opportunity to enjoy the impressive landscape of the only national park in Catalonia, characterized by its peaks of more than three thousand meters, waterfalls, rivers and more than 200 lakes that make up a high mountain ecosystem of unparalleled beauty.

The Garmin Mountain Festival is not just a competition, but a complete experience that goes beyond sport. In parallel with the tests, the program includes a wide variety of activities for all audiences, from workshops and talks to cultural and gastronomic proposals that allow participants and visitors to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the valley. This Sunday, June 29, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the Garmin Epic Trail will be broadcast live on TV3 via TV3 and the 3cat platform.

This collaboration with the Garmin Mountain Festival underlines the commitment of Boí Taüll and FGC Turisme to the deseasonalization and diversification of the tourist offer, positioning the mountain as an active and vibrant destination throughout the year.
