The Boí Taüll mountain resort, owned by Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC), today kicked off the summer season with the launch of the new 200-meter zip line. The Alta Ribagorça resort, which will remain open until August 31, is establishing itself as the ideal tourist facility to enjoy the high mountains with discoveries and experiences for all audiences.

The president of Ferrocarrils, Carles Ruiz Novella, accompanied by the manager of Boí Taüll, David Ros Sánchez, and the mayor of Vall de Boí, Sònia Bruguera Diego, today kicked off the season in an event where he highlighted the importance of diversifying activities in mountain resorts and deseasonalizing the offer to contribute to generating tourism all year round. The director general of Ferrocarrils, Alicia Valle Cantalejo, was also present, as well as other local authorities.

The new zipline is located at the base of the resort. It is 200 meters long and has a double descent car to allow simultaneous descents. It corresponds to the first section that will complement the 1,000-meter super-zipline planned for the resort, and which is planned for the summer of 2026. This first section starts at an altitude of 2,053 and reaches 2,036, with a difference in altitude of 17 meters. It consists of 4 platforms: two starting and two finishing and allows people weighing between 35 and 100 kg to descend. It is a zipline designed for the more family-oriented public.

The zipline will be combined this season with the rest of the planned activities. For the first time, Boí Taüll will open a ride lift during the summer, the Telecadira Vaques, which will be operational from the second half of July until the end of the season. This lift will provide access to a new viewpoint located at the top of the Pic de la Pala de Ginebrell, at 2,310 meters, from where you can enjoy panoramic views of the surroundings and its peaks, such as the Besiberris or the Punta Alta de Comalesbienes, which exceed 3,000 meters in altitude, or the Aneto, the roof of the Pyrenees.

The resort will also offer unique experiences to connect with nature and astronomy. You can enjoy astronomical observation sessions, one with the Aigüesortes and Sant Maurici National Park on August 1 and another with the Montsec Astronomical Park on August 16. In addition, on August 13, a guided hiking trip will be organized through the National Park with an ascent to the Pic de la Pala de Ginebrell, in Cap de Vaques.

Adventure, nature and gastronomy

Boí Taüll has a children's electric cross motorbike circuit, designed for boys and girls aged 3 to 10. Electric bike rental will also be offered for free or guided routes for all levels. The Starlight Viewpoint, located on the access walkway to the station from the P2 car park, will offer a privileged point for contemplating the night sky. The offer is completed with six marked hiking itineraries within the station's domain and a virtual gymkhana to learn about the environment, culture and heritage of the Boí Valley.

As for the gastronomic offer, the Eco-Burguer Terrassa Cow Boí will open for the summer season, offering an ideal space to enjoy a pleasant break with panoramic views, becoming a meeting point to relax and enjoy drinks and snacks in a unique mountain setting.

All these activities complement the offer of the Vall de Boí, a territory that stands out for its rich confluence of culture, heritage and nature.
